This online event will feature Simone Saunders as she discusses what the journey of understanding trauma and its effect on Mental Health may look like. As well as how we can support ourselves or individuals in our lives going through their own self journeys.
Bio: Simone Saunders BSW, MSW, RSW
Simone Saunders is a registered Social Worker in Calgary, Alberta. She has been working in the field of mental health for the past 5 years and has focused on the treatment of trauma in both children and adults by utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions. She is currently completing graduate-level education with a specialization in trauma-informed practice in order to provide clients with the best possible service. As a practitioner, her goal is to spread awareness about mental health and trauma, with the hopes to contribute to the destigmatization of accessing mental health resources - especially in the Black community.
