Increased awareness of Black families’ experiences of anti-Black racism within the child welfare sector as informed by key findings from One Vision One Voice studies, including the recently released Ontario Incidence Study of Reported Child Abuse and Neglect 2018 (OIS-2018).
Increased awareness of the deleterious effects of anti-Black racism on the mental health and social wellbeing of Black children, youth, and families involved with the child welfare sector.
Increased awareness of the multifaceted strategies of the One Vision One Voice Program in addressing the stark disparities and disproportionalities affecting Black children, youth, and families within Ontario’s Child Welfare system, with an end goal of improved mental health and social outcomes for this population.
