A Road to Self Discovery
This session is designed for people of African origin from all walks of life (aka Black people), regardless of their region of birth or personal affiliations. This presentation promotes joy, remembrance, humor & laughter as I incorporate folklore, dance and Afro-Caribbean history into my program to encourage the audience to honor our culture and pay homage to our ancestral legacy in a JOYFUL way.
This Nutritional Talk provides extensive information on health and wellness practices and the richness of plant based indigenous foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts/seeds and herbs) that are native to Africa, South America and the Caribbean. A main goal is to educate people about the amazing variety of plant based foods that are accessible to us in the Afro-Caribbean community here in Toronto, Canada. Many plant based foods that are native to Africa and the Caribbean are known to reverse disease and foster optimum health and wellness. This workshop touches on how consistent meat & dairy consumption can contribute to illness and disease in our personal lives, families and communities.
