Painting as Therapy – Black Student Engagement Wellness Night
This event is for Students enrolled at the University of Toronto, Scarbrough Campus. Students will envision mental health though the use of painting, while coming together to support one another. The act of painting can support emotional well-being by giving participants a creative outlet, reduce stress, and can help individuals envision a more hopeful future.
Why Attend: Painting to support emotional well-being by giving participants a creative outlet.
Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the impact of internalized racism on their lives and explore pathways, often non-linear to healing and growth. Ultimately, this lunch and learn session will serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of self-love, self-empowerment, and acceptance in our journey toward personal and collective liberation.
