Generation Choose You
With Black Mental Health Week, this year arriving at a point in time and society so filled in anxiety and confusion what we at Generation Chosen hope to do is provide an online event meant to be enjoyable, informative, insightful while reminding us all that we are a community even if we can no longer visit one another.
The event will be an online game show titled “Generation Choose You” hosted live by facilitators of ours over Zoom. The event will be a place for people to gather and participate in games surrounding mental health along with engaging in fruitful conversations revolving around this often-taboo topic in many of our communities and cultures. We will host a trivia game where guests will answer questions for prizes such as grocery gift cards, online yoga vouchers, and a paid-for session with one of the specialists if they so choose.
Generation Chosen is a non-profit organization devoted to enhancing the emotional intelligence of young adults from underserved communities. Through openly confronting mental health obstacles, dealing compassionately with harmful emotional tendencies, creating opportunities for educational matriculation, financial self-sufficiency, and meaningful mentorship, we aim to holistically support the development of those most vulnerable in our society and interrupt inter-generational cycles of poverty, disenfranchisement and trauma.
