Honouring the Ancestors through Mindful Self Care and Compassion
Honouring the Ancestors through Mindful Self Care and Compassion
Join us for a reflective and experiential session focused on healing, restoration, and self-compassion.
In this event, Giselle Jones, RSW, CMF, calls on all to recognize the responsibility of tending to ourselves to heal generational trauma and honour the heroic actions of our ancestors. Utilizing mindfulness and compassion practices, participants will move deeper into conversation with themselves through somatic awareness, identifying unhelpful ways in which we ignore the pleas and warnings from our body to constantly perform, be productive…be exemplary.
Explore how restoration and self-compassion are not the enemies of ambition, but companions of greatness. Discover the benefits of “micro-practices” of self-care and using technology as an accessible accountability partner. This event is a combination of lecture, discussion and experiential practices.
