The Silent Generation – A Celebration of Resilience and Empowerment
This virtual event fosters an atmosphere for engaging discussions focused on the Silent Generation. This generation came about during the post-colonialized era of the 1900s to 1950s and its cohorts, and through various historical significances have shaped our generation's experiences that are presently evident.
We are creating a space for our elders to celebrate their ancestors in joy as they reflect on their culture, engage in conversations, and build community cohesion. We want to celebrate memories of our ancestors, and the lived experiences our elders will bring to the space, these offerings exemplify acts of celebration and resistance against systemic oppressions. The event aims to foster connection, healing, and empowerment through dialogue, shared experiences and art.
