Black Mental Health Week Closing Ceremony
Nourish & Rise
Black Mental Health Week Closing Ceremony
This celebratory closing experience brings Black Mental Health Week to a powerful and joyful conclusion through culture, creativity, and community.
The evening will begin with a live culinary demonstration showcasing culturally rooted dishes, followed by food sampling that invites guests to gather, connect, and experience the nourishment of traditional flavours. Food, as medicine and memory, will ground us in the ways culture sustains wellbeing across generations.
The evening continues with live performances by community artists, blending music, spoken word, and movement to celebrate joy as resistance and creativity as restoration. Together, this culminating event honours the knowledge shared, connections formed, and ongoing commitment to advancing Black mental health and wellbeing in our communities.
